A City Within a City

I am a self-described “city woman”. I live for a big city. In a place like New York City, the magic is palatable. So, for this week’s project, I decided to build a big city in Unity for my “world”.

I spent hours building all of my own gameobjects as I misunderstood how to download assets from the Unity Asset Store (oops). Once I realized that I had sunk a lot of time into creating all of my own buildings, I decided to keep the original city in the center and build another city around it. I had entertained making it a surreal world by making a city in the sky above the one I created with the actual game store assets, but instead I built it around the original.

I was able to figure out how to enter as the character in play mode, so I could walk around my own world in first person.
Overall, it was fun because I liked the imagination stretch of thinking about the type of world I would want to feel like I was in.
